Technology training

Several areas of business require highly trained staff to perform their day-to-day work. In most cases, company labour force with past degrees and certificates who are able to read, write and work with computers is well-equipped to carry out most operational tasks. In some other cases where people are required to operate specialist machinery or carry out specific tasks for which standard operating procedures are in place, training may have been provided already in these areas with the help of external suppliers and internal trainers. These cases are outside the scope of our services. Our training scope covers technologies for companies that already have research and development divisions but lack high-end capability in developing novel products and services of global standards. We provide training in areas including but not limited to applied AI, predictive maintenance, embedded systems, sensors, and cloud based systems. We can also provide support on effective project management and IP protection.

Our services

  • Evaluation of training needs within an organisation (requirements analysis) in discussions with technical lead
  • Evaluation of relevant human resources to understanding their skill set and gaps
  • Development of a training plan with short and medium term needs in mind
  • Custom training courses designed and delivered to cover user needs in areas including but not limited to AI, Embedded Systems, Sensors, Computer Vision, Advanced Statistics and Cloud Technologies
  • Consultancy based training on specific projects with case studies to cover product design, testing and effective project management of projects
  • Annual training events in key innovation areas inviting companies to attend

Our approach

We service “Knowledge centred organisations” where the acquisition and application of specialised knowledge is the centrepiece of current and future research and development of new products and services. Often organisations may not fully appreciate that they lack technical expertise or that they must acquire internal capability in key areas of strategic importance for them rather than depending on external knowledge providers for long-term support which can be risky. Our approach is to train with professional experts who have practical global experience of technology development and implementation, and who can provide application insights and suggestions on practical problems rather than text-book information.

Issues you may be facing

All organisations with R&D need regular training to continually update their existing and new staff knowledge base. You should be already covering their training needs however you may realise additional training needs in case of the following circumstances.

  • Your projects are running late, not producing results as expected and consuming additional resources, where you feel the issues lie with inexperience and lack of knowledge
  • Key human resources with expert knowledge have left the company and such expertise needs to be internally developed as external experts are not easily available to be recruited
  • You need specialised training for your staff who are mostly dependent on external input in their projects and there are technology gaps in staff capability
  • The project team is facing issues wider than what may be covered by consultancy alone; detailed training is needed in specialised areas to better manage projects
